VADODARA: Eleven-year-old and 12-year-old , studying in city-based schools have won the regional round of the that was held at Mehsana on Sunday.
They beat over 22 teams from all over Gujarat with perfect scores and in record time.

In this annual competition, children have to build robots and program them to complete a given task in the fastest time. This year, the theme of the competition is – ‘Reduce Food Waste’ and students were given a task to build a robot to sort food products according to their looks and expiration dates and transport the sorted food to places that can make use of the food instead of wasting it.

Hriday and Rishiraj, trained at Zepto Learning, built a robot and programmed them to complete the task in 27 seconds which was 12 seconds better than their nearest competitor.

The duo will now compete in the national round next month to secure a chance to represent India in the World Robot Olympiad in October where children from over 60 countries will compete for the .
