House burgled in Panchshil Society, Rs 5 lakh stolen

RAJKOT: Burglars targeted a locked house and committed the theft of cash and jewellery worth Rs five lakh in the plush area of in Rajkot on Saturday night when the occupants had been away to attend a family function.

The burgled house belongs to businessman Bhagvatilal Jogaria who lodged a complaint of theft with .

“In his complaint Jogaria said that the theft was committed when he along with his family members had left home to attend a function at a friend’s farm house on Kalawad Road at 3 pm on Saturday. When he returned home on Sunday morning, he found the locks of the main gate and bedroom broken. The thieves appeared to have gained entry into the house by breaking the iron grills,” said an official from Malaviyanagar police station.
