Rajkot: Burglars struck at a godown in Munjaka area of Rajkot and stole cash and valuables worth Rs 4 lakh. Though the crime was committed on Thursday night, a complaint in this regard was lodged on Friday night.
The godown belongs to Hardevsinh Jadeja. “In his complaint, Jadeja stated that he had downed the shutters of his godown on Thursday night and when he opened it on Friday morning, he found that the cash and valuables were stolen. Locks on the godown had been broken,” said an investigator.
The items stolen included Rs 3.20 lakh cash, two CPUs, a computer monitor, a stabilizer, a mobile phone and a DVR, all worth Rs 4 lakh.
“There were four staffer employed at the godown. Two were recently sacked. They are at the top of the list of suspects. We will be questioning them. We have sought the help of a dog squad and a team from the forensic science laboratory ,” added the official.
