NEW DELHI: A working at a in was for allegedly a 22-year-old student in on Wednesday evening.
In her complaint, the woman told cops that she was waiting for her friend when the accused along with his two friends allegedly started following her in the park and made lewd gestures. Later, her friend came and caught the accused and informed the cops.

Confirming the developments, DCP (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said the accused Chander Mohan has been arrested under IPC sections of stalking (354D) and actions insulting the modesty of woman (509).

The incident allegedly happened at 3pm when the woman was waiting for her friend in Nehru Park when the three accused stared and started to follow her.

“I left the particular spot because I felt uncomfortable, but they followed me to the other bench as well. When I walked out at them to stop their behaviour they said ‘dekhne mein kya jaata hai (what’s wrong at staring),” the woman said in her complaint.

The accused allegedly didn’t budge and continued to follow her. Meanwhile, when the woman’s friend came and was informed about the behaviour, he managed to nab Mohan and called the PCR, while the other two managed to flee. Police took the accused to Chanakyapuri police station and was later produced before a magistrate.
