CHANDIGARH: A person lost his life while his younger brother got critically injured in Sector-10 when a 40-feet fully-grown tree fell on their motorbike on Monday morning.

According to cops, Ramesh Aswal, 32, and his younger brother Dinesh Aswal, 35, work at a local garments shop. They are residents of Nayagaon in Chandigarh and around 9.45 am were going on their motorbike for work.

Ramesh was driving the motorbike while Dinesh was riding pillion. When they were crossing the Sector-10 residential area, a fully-grown tree on the roadside suddenly fell on them. Local people rushed them towards them. Both were rushed to the (Government multi-specialty hospital) Sector-16, from where Dinesh was referred to PGIMER (post-graduation institute of medical education and research), where Dinesh succumbed to his serious head injuries.

Cops said that they have informed the family members of the victim and a action would be taken on the basis of the complaint. Investigation is on, said cops.
