HYDERABAD: A case was registered in against a for using an (AIMIM) MLA Mumtaz Khan’s photograph in the back drop of , which looked as if the flag was being tramped by him.
Rein Bazar police said that a case was registered against Jawahar High School, Junior & Degree College owner, Ayub Shah, under Prevention Of Insult To National Honour Act 1971. On the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations, the education institute authorities decorated the premises besides arranging the alleged objectionable flexi.

Police said that the case was registered after taking a complaint from one of their constable, after the police came to know about the insult to national flag. When police went to question Shah, he was unavailable and he could be ed only over the phone. He claimed innocence about the flexi issue and blamed it on his staff members.

Reiz Bazar police clarified that the MLA got nothing to do with the issue and Jawahar High School, though his photograph was used by the school authorities. When TOI tried to Mumtaz Khan to take his reaction, he was unavailable and his family members clarified that he went abroad. Police are waiting to nab Shah before declaring his arrest.
