Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a public meeting in Salem to mark the 30th anniversary of PMK, Ramadoss said corruption was becoming all pervasive in the state. “The list of corruption charges against the government is getting longer every day. But the chief minister says his government is blotless. If he is so confident, will he hold a public referendum on corruption?’’
Hitting out at Palaniswami for stating that his government had been implementing a number of development programmes, Ramadoss said they were utter lies. “Can he name a single welfare scheme brought by his government?’’
Ramadoss said there were no industrial investments in the state and that small and micro were shutting down in large numbers.
The PMK leader said EPS was aware of his government’s poor performance and that’s why the AIADMK was not conducting local body election.
Stating that a through probe into exam paper evaluation scam would expose all culprits, including those in power, Ramadoss called for a CBI inquiry.
He also wanted ballot papers in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, instead of electronic voting machines. “Bribing of voters should also be curbed,’’ Ramadoss said.
