RAJKOT: A collegian in Kutch faces police action for his prank by sending messages to his college friends posing the head of a terrorist group from a mobile app which shows that message is sent from some international number. His messages asked the recipients to give information about India and get payment which he requires for planting bombs.
Few collegians approach police in scared by this kind of messages. According to police the message was in Hindi which was saying that “would you like to work for me as an agent? You have to give me information about India, you will get Rs 10,000 for one information. Where people gather in big number on 15th August? I am from and want to plant the bomb.”
Police has arrested a 19 year old boy Mahesh Jesang Koli a resident of Manfara village of Bhachav taluka who sent this kind of messages to his eight friends on their what’s app number. The message was generated by using a mobile app. Police has booked Mahesh under IPC section 153 (giving provocation with intent to cause riots), 505 (1) (circulating rumor to scare the people), and section 66 of information technology act.
