LUCKNOW: A 74-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself inside the premises of the Shaheed Smarak Park, on Saturday, after writing on his vest that he had reportedly taken the extreme step because of his sister-inlaw.

As per police reports, the deceased was identified as Shiv Kumar, a resident of Qaiserbagh area, and was a retired employee of a printing press. The deceased’s body was discovered by a security guard of the park at around 12pm when he saw that the gate leading up to the one of the minarets of the park was unlocked.
